Not far from our present time, there was a time when watching movies is a communal activity to look forward to. The term step on the screen, once so famous was held right down to the remote village, is proven to attract more people to visit the plaza nearby. In addition to capturing the hilarity of open air cinema, many were open a simple stalls only for enliven. Organized by House The House & Bandung Creative City Forum, as a part of Helarfest Bandung 2012, Cikapundung River Cinema held December 22, 2012 at Cikapundung Timur Plaza.
Throughout the afternoon towards evening, Cikapundung River Cinema area will be met by rowdy modern town square which is bustling with simple intentions of togetherness: maybe with musical performances, get some snacks or foods and picnic, selling and buying some collection stuff, or waiting for the film to play.
Cikapundung River Cinema offers a radiant activity which utilizes the full potential of this. By inviting all levels of the city to contribute, Cikapundung River Cinema will celebrate this collaboration with Cikapundung River; which is expected to leave a new benefits for the river and city, and built the city’s economy through tourism and other activities.
