The Dog Rescuer is a 22-minute documentary with contributions from the RSPCA, Dogs Trust, and Greyhound Gap. It is estimated that each year more than 100,000 dogs in the UK need to be re-homed. Circumstances can include financial difficulty, bereavement, separation and relocation. Sadly, the reasons can also be down to a lack of basic care, ignorance, or plain cruelty.
This short film tells the story of Graham, our Dog Rescuer, who has shared his home with unwanted dogs for more than 30 years. The film also seeks to dispel some of the myths surrounding rescue dogs and to present a case for offering a loving and safe home to dogs who are simply asking for a second chance at life.
