Danielle de Picciotto and Alexander Hacke have been collaborating together since 2001,
creating interdisciplinary performance pieces, combining her art and spoken word with his musical compositions live on international stages. In 2010 they were presented in the movie “In Berlin” as an exceptional artist couple by legendary cinematographer Michael Ballhaus.
Danielle de Picciotto has been working as an interdisciplinary artist since 1991. She has performed and exhibited at the Mocad Detroit; the Imoca Indianapolis; the London Museum of Art, Ontario; the Staatsgalerie Stuttgart; La Biennale di Venezia, the Documenta in Kassel and been presented by the German Goethe Institute in Europe, Japan, Hong Kong and Mexico. The German Foreign Ministry commissioned Danielle de Picciotto twice for animation movies with her drawings. Danielle de Picciotto is co-founder of the Berlin Love Parade together with Dr Motte. 2012 she was asked to become member of the legendary band
“ Crime and the City Solution”.
Alexander Hacke joined the German cult Band “Einstürzende Neubauten” at the age of 14 in 1980, which he performs and releases recordings with up till today. All throughout the eighties and up to the present he has collaborated with countless international artists of various genres and produces records and score music for theater pieces, feature films and documentary movies. In 2005 he was the main protagonist in the movie
“Crossing the Bridge – the Sound of Istanbul”, by Fatih Akin. In 2012 he reunited with his former band „Crime and The City solution“.
