Teaser trailer for this award winning documentary from first time director Keith Reimink. When people think of Antarctica, they picture mammoth sized glaciers, waddling penguins, and frolicking seals. But there is another wild side to this continent; a neglected side. Every year thousands of workers and scientists flock to research bases all over Antarctica. For some it's a lifestyle, for others an escape.
A few hundred people populate Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station during the busy summer. In the winter time, that number decreases drastically. No Horizon Anymore follows the South Pole crew from October 2008 to November 2009 as they deal with the hustle and bustle of daylight, and the numbing boredom and claustrophobia of the long darkness.
With one-of-a-kind footage of the last C-130 leaving the winter crew behind, the annual sunset and sunrise, and intimate interviews with those left behind, No Horizon Anymore is a must see film for polar enthusiasts and adventurers alike.
