They've been called sacrilegious, blasphemous, and evil. When they last appeared in Canada 25 years ago women and religious groups were so offended they were driven out of town. But the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence are back. This group of mostly gay men who dress like nuns have started in Vancouver. Their mission: fight the rise of HIV/AIDS. And fight homelessness, in one of the toughest neighborhoods in the country, Vancouver's downtown Eastside. The new nuns say they are ready to take these challenges. But is Canada ready for them?
