It was lunchtime, bloody hot and all I could think about was getting back to the coast to swim in the ocean blue when we left Norseman, but we thought we should see some of the sights first while we were in the neighbourhood. So we visited Norseman Beacon lookout above the town first up (00:08) and drove out to Dundas and the old town settlement (00:43). From here we were heading to somewhere I had visited before Bromus Dam, hoping it had water in it to swim - and it did! (00:57) So we stripped off and went for a skinny dip to cool off and Stop, Revive and Survive. It was then a two hour drive down to Esperance with a quick stop at Grass Patch (01:58) to climb the sign. Finally we reach the coast again and it was time to get the dogs out, so we stopped at a lookout for the views and to find another geocache (02:57). We couldn't help ourselves so went for quick swim, before having fish and chips on the beach (03:28) and having another swim and fun on the slide off the pontoon in the bay. Evening was drawing close so we needed to find a dog friendly camp for night five on the return road trip from Adelaide. We left Esperance along the Great Ocean Drive (03:49) and stopped at Observatory Point for a couple of photos (04:02). About 80km out from Esperance we found Quagi beach a beautiful location and one of our favourites campsite along the road trip (05:29). In the morning of course we went for another swim and then drove off along the coast as much as we could in the 2WD Commodore along Southern Ocean Road. Today was a day of many dirt roads (06:22 - 07:48), we dropped into Munglinup Beach (06:29), Starvation Boat Harbour for a snorkel (07:08), Mason's Beach (07:28) and Hopetoun (08:04). Next up was a visit to Fitzgerald River National Park, there was a great lookout on Hamersley Drive (08:23) looking back along the coast and Culham Inlet. We decided to take the shortest route on the map which was another dirt road/track through the NP (08:39 - 09:24), some awesome views, but some sketchy corrugated sections shaking the car to pieces! After exiting the NP it was just a solid drive onto Albany for a pub meal (12:00).
