A short documentary aimed at exploring the point of view of students during the November/December 2010 student protests over the rise of University tuition fees in the UK.
I was studying my Masters degree around that time and I felt a documentary needed to be made to highlight the plight that many present and future students will face. I made this film as part of my Documentary unit because I decided that it had a strong point to make with views that needed to be heard.
I collaborated with a very talented animator and fellow filmmaker, Jayson Scott Adams, to incorporate a short animation into the documentary. I hadn't seen too many uses of animation in documentaries before so it struck me as a unique element to add. That and the fact that I love the animation art form.
The film was was shot using a Sony PD170.
