Here's Part 2 of an old Monster Drawing session at Massachusetts College of Art & Design, probably from 2007 or 2008.
Since 2006, I've been running "Monster Drawing" sessions at Massachusetts College of Art & Design, where I teach Illustration courses part-time. I put on homemade monster masks & costumes and pose for life-drawing students while playing guitar for 2 hour sessions. I can't see my hands, and keep my eyes closed anyways because it gets hot in the masks and the sweat stings my eyes. I'm self-taught and play by ear, and was too lazy to learn the names of the strings or notes, or tablature, when I started playing guitar in high school. So, there are mistakes, but it's fun and definitely not something I take very seriously.
I'm really honored that "Monster Drawing" has become a part of Accepted Students Days at MassArt, where high school seniors already accepted for admission to MassArt can visit the school again and draw real live MONSTERS!
