On July 22, 2009 a total solar eclipse was visible over Shanghai for the first time in 300 years. Figuring that no one had a camera handy the last time it was here I was keen to try and capture the event. I had two weeks to learn all I could about time lapse photography and it seemed that my main obstacle would be dealing with the huge difference in exposure. Turns out it wasn't the biggest problem I'd have to overcome.
This isn't a work of art creatively or technically, just a record of what happened.
