StudioFeed caught up with Boston-based duo A.M. Architect for their performance at one of our monthly SupportIndependentMusic.org meetings, hosted at LAL's communal Toronto space, Unit 2. While busy prepping the release of their album Pattern Language, due out February 5th on Toronto's Urbnet Records, Diego and Daniel explain how they have come to be where they currently are from a musical point of view. The album, inspired by an architecture and urban design book entitled A Pattern Language published in 1977, makes heavy use of similar redesigning and sampling techniques outlined in the book.
Additionally, Daniel and Diego have decided to make the files from the album and remixes accessible to other artists so that the creative palette audible on Pattern Language is further revised and reassembled by others, in keeping with the book and album's original philosophies.
