This is my first short film. It was created as part of the Montreal BLOODY VALENTINES: 48Hr Horror Filmmaking Contest - HALLOWEEN EDITION
There was 6 teams in competition, each of which received a package containing:
A horror subgenre (Ours was Werewolf)
Weapon (Ours was Box Cutter),
Prop (A Tape cassette, for every team)
Line of dialogue ("We don't speak about the accident", for every team)
We finally couldn't hand in our movie on time, my computer being super slow at capturing and transcoding AVCHD files.
Oh well, a week later I still finished an edit so we could at least screen our film off-competition.
We are all pretty proud of what we achieved, considering the circumstances.
We used the Panasonic AG-AF100.
Lens wise, we only used:
Lumix G Vario 14-45mm f/3.5-5.6 ASPH/MEGA O.I.S. Micro Four Thirds Lens
Except some close up shots where we used:
Lumix G Vario 100-300mm F/4.0-5.6 OIS Micro Four Thirds Lens
We mostly lit the scenes with Ikan Led Panels and some Arri 1K Open Face in the last shot.
Sound was recorded directly to the camera using a Rode NTG-1 Shotgun Mic
We used a Shape Support Rig for handheld shots and a Cartoni HD Focus Fluid Head with a Cartoni 2 stage tripod for fixed shots.
Editing was done using Media Composer 5
Color Grading was done using Magic Bullet Looks 1.0
Video Compression was done using TMPGEnc 4.0 Express
