This video is about Chickens in Snow.
Well, no. This isn't about chickens. Just the camera operator's equivalent of gym exercises, ensuring one has an instinctive feel for following the action, following the focus.
It was also a handy subject to test how well Image Stabilisation works.
The snow was useful to check out Canon's C-Log, trying to capture the texture and subtle undulations in the snow whilst preventing it from getting either too shiny like polystyrene, or just a bland white mess.
It's here to check how motion looks on both computer and TV screens (via a YouTube-enabled set-top box). And finally, good to see what both YouTube and Vimeo handle legalised Rec709 material (white levels, black levels, gamma, compression, etc).
And the chickens are fun.
