Synopsis: Kevin's sister is too grown up for the make believe games that he and his friends like to play. When she tries to stop their cardboard box game, she discovers that the vital worlds of imagination have their own reality and are available to all ages.
"The Box Game" is a short stop-motion animated student film, created by 30+ students at the Art Institute of Portland in Portland, OR, U.S.A.
I had the pleasure of being the student director of this film, as well as a writer, production planner, puppet fabricator, animator, rigger, and compositor. I was also in charge of submitting the film to film festivals when all of hard work was finished. "The Box Game" has been featured in the Northwest Animation Festival 2011, Best of the Northwest Animation Festival 2011, Montreal Stop-Motion Film Festival 2011, Rose City Animation Festival 2011, Portland Animation Now! 2012, and Portland Oregon Women’s Festival 2012.
I hope you enjoy our film!
