I sort of cheated on the last 2 explosions because I took it from myself. -> vimeo.com/44663917 The first explosion was unique to the others. But anyways, yes yes yes, I wanted to practice (as always) getting a realistic gradient. Over the past 2 weeks, between doing Thinking Particles practice I've been looking into the simplest way to achieve a realistic Fire Look within Fume.
I've found that disabling an AFC curve and letting the color value decide it's intensity is far easier (for me) and quicker (for me) to get the look I want. I feel that it eliminates another factor to worry about.
I wish I didn't leave my autokeyframes on because i apparently moved my camera in the second explosion. Also, I used the Fire channel (pass) to tweak the hotspots and get those really burnt red colors.
