On the night of December 15th 2012, I set out from Wellington, New Zealand to the remote coastal area of Cape Palliser on the south eastern tip of the North Island. My goal was to capture the Geminid meteor shower, but unfortunately for me, being so far south on in the Southern Hemisphere, the meteors were few and far between.
But all was not lost as it was a perfectly dark cloudless night and millions of stars were shining above. This video is a collection of the images and time lapse I captured that night.
