Join us for another virtual Summer Camp adventure! Today, we’re spending time at the Central Avenue Historic Corridor! Kids will learn about the leaders who made the Central Avenue Corridor so important, like Charlotta Bass, was the first Black woman to own and operate a major newspaper, and scholar/activist/diplomat and Nobel Peace Prize recipient Ralph J. Bunche. We’ll also make a stop at the African American Firefighter Museum and craft a cityscape of the other buildings key to the Central Avenue story.
