This home was designed and built by Donald Reeb. There are so many features which make this a one of a kind green home. The concrete floors have radiant heat while the concrete insulated walls and concrete tile roof keep in the heat during cold winters. Motion sensors in every room activate heat for hot water when you enter that room. There are so many great energy saving ideas implemented into the design of this beautiful home which are not specifically shown in the video.
I used a Canon HF100 with a wide angle lens for establishing shots and for the detail shots of specific items in the home I used the JAG35st adapter. This allowed me to draw the viewers attention to the details of each item in this home. The JAG35st is a static 35mm adapter which allowed me to use old Canon FD lenses on my HF100. Due to the indoor lighting I could only use a 50mm lens with 1:1.4 aperture. Most of my shots were done on a tripod but some were hand held which can be a little shaky while using the 35mm adapter.
This was my second attempt at creating a home tour through the use of video but this time it was in HD. I used Final Cut Studio to create the look, edit, and music.
