Anil and Myself at Golden Fleece this 19th January 2013.
Good to be out on our bikes. The cold temperatures may chill the bones, but snow gives a magical air to almost any landscape. Epping Forest was especially pretty.
We took an off road route similar to the Epping Forest Centenary path that starts just outside the fleece. At certain points after Hingham’s park the going was hard as the snow was soft unlike last year's ride when the temperatures were much lower and the ice harder and firmer. Bumped into Steve Smith out jogging in the snow in wanstead park. Made it upto Chingford, Queen Elizabeth hunting lodge. Well earned break at the Butler's Retreat before we headed back home. Stopped again for a tea at the Temple wanstead Park before parting company.
Thanks Gary for the company, was an enjoyable morning's ride.
Thanks to Anil for the photos, words & leading the ride.
