Mahmoud H. lives in the South Hebron Hills, a rural area in the Southern tip of the West Bank, Palestine.
Palestinian residents of the area are under pressure to leave their homes, due to violence from Israeli settlers and the Israeli Army.
In the year 2000, the Israeli army displaced the residents of several Palestinian villages in the area. All of their belongings were loaded onto trucks, their homes were demolished, and they were sent away.
Within a year, residents returned to their land and now continue to resist ethnic cleansing. Because of severe building restrictions, many of these Palestinian residents live without electricity, in tents and caves.
The Israeli army refers to this area of the West Bank as 'Firing Zone 918,' and would like to see it cleared of Palestinian residents for the purpose of a military shooting range.
