Every day, Magen David Adom saves lives in Israel. First, they start by providing the most comprehensive training to EMTs and paramedics. Then, they match them with the best technology the medical field has to offer. Here, Erez Geller, paramedic supervisor of Magen David Adom's Haifa Emergency Medical Station, demonstrates the Corpuls-3 Defibrillator, an integrated EKG and defibrillator unit that allows paramedics to check vitals and, if necessary, defibrillate a patient, all from a wireless remote control, and then forward the patient's data wireless to the emergency room while the patient is in en route in the ambulance. The result is time saved in readying the unit for use and additional time saved in diagnosing the patient, providing extra minutes that can make the difference whether a patient survives.
