There are over 400,000 children in foster care in the US. Nine out of ten of these children will go home or be adopted. The rest – the one out of ten – will stay in government care because no one else is willing...these are US orphans.

Churches in the Kansas City metro are becoming Family for children in their communities who don’t have one. Participating churches (like Macedonia Baptist Church, featured in this video) are organizing and mobilizing their congregations to care for these children. The Global Orphan Project supports each participating church through connecting, resourcing, and funding. To learn more about this movement visit goproject.org/US.
