Is there such thing as an inappropriate resting in our faith? Since Jesus has given grace and liberty and has called us into Himself as our rest, are we given allowance to leave off from vigorously endeavoring to maximize our lives? The answer, quite simply, is Yes & No. Yes, there is an inappropriate type of rest and, No, we are never to cease from maximizing our lives for Christ.
King Asa was a powerful king in Israel who had taken great strides to bring his country back to faithfulness to God. God blessed his efforts and, at the pinnacle of his reign, God sent aprophet to exhort the king to keep moving ahead and see the job through to the end. This message focuses on what it means to purpose your will to go further and deeper in your relationship with Christ. Repentance is never complete while we live here on earth. There is a distance to be closed. There is a practical righteousness to pursue. There is a Savior to be fashioned unto.
