2.5x speed & converted to mp4
Rare Dutch-style segregated cycle path in UK (Kingston Road KT4 KT6 postcodes) connecting Stoneleigh and Tolworth SW London). There is a similar arrangement on the other side of the dual carriageway shown on an earier upload. It has been there for many years, though making it 2-way seems to be a relatively recent addition. Uploaded as a result of various blogs & tweets compaining that the UK authorites have in the past few years been prone to giving all manner of excuses why the provision of such paths is just about impossible. The video shows that it is perfectly possible, albeit along short sections, but while the path itself is basically fine, the entrance and exit designs are dreadful. Plus cyclists who don't know the area must be expected to be psychic (or should that be psyclic) to work out how to get on to the path.
Note also that it has been gritted - excellent - but in contrast to the ungritted footways round where I live (Surrey) where a substantial number of the residents are elderly but have to take their chances on a couple of inches of ice.
See also the following upload going round the A3-A240 roundabout -the only option open to a cyclist who does not want to dismount and walk the (not very sanitary) underpasses.
