There are roughly 5,000 Great Whites left in the world today. They are one of the most endangered species.
These are some clips of the cage diving adventure we have off the coast of Gansbaai South Africa. We were lucky enough to see 9 different Great Whites that day, the longest was close to four meters. I feel very privileged to be able to say that we saw nine Great Whites when there are only 5,000 left. After that day of diving I figure out that we had seen about 0.18% of the Great White population within a 4 hour boat ride. This statistic blew me away. I am so thankful for those companies like The White Shark Project, who are raising awareness and helping to save these beautiful creatures.
I want to extend a most sincere thanks to the White Shark Project for making that day memorable. I would strongly encourage all those who get a chance to go diving with these beautiful and endangered sharks.
