Bill and Ted, slackers when it comes to schoolwork, find themselves in a predicament because they did not complete a research project on Impressionism in music. Fortunately, a time traveler from the future arrives and suddenly whisks them back to the early 20th century, where they come face to face with Impressionistic composers Claude Debussy and Maurice Ravel themselves.
