British climbers Tim Palmer, Leo Moger & James Blay fly out to Milan to meet Italian Wild Country team Climber Michele Caminati and climb together in Cresciano & Chironico.
We made the journey to Switzerland dreaming of the classic boulder problems that Malcolm Smith & Jerry Moffatt climb in the inspirational bouldering film Stone Love. Lady luck was on our side, we had some great weather during our two week stay and we managed to climb several of the iconic problems which the two areas have to offer. Us Brits got stuck in at Cresciano, meanwhile Michele, having climbed in Cresciano many times previously, focused on Chironico and repeating some of the classic hard problems which he'd not had the opportunity to attempt before. This, part one, contains footage entirely from Cresciano whilst part two will focus on Michele's achievements in Chironico.
This video includes ascents of the following:
La Pelle [8a], Kirk Windstein [8a+], la Boule [8a], Frank's Wild Years [8a], Il Partner [7c], La Boulette [7b] &
Never Ending Story [6b+].
I hope you enjoy the film and if you do make sure you look out for part two in a month or so.
Filmed and edited by James Blay.
