Back when I first met up with them at Taps downtown, we talked excitedly about their upcoming wedding, and worked on convincing Barry to do an engagement shoot with Amy.
He, along with a lot of grooms, are not big on being in front of a camera, and had (past tense because he now loves being in front of my camera!) a preconceived opinion that photographers want you to pose and smile for the camera. NOT ME! I said, we will have a BLAST!
Our approach is non-traditional, we’re here to hang out with you, get to know your love, who you are, and then document it. So that’s exactly what we did.
We decided to hang out at their South Tampa pad and I could meet their dogs (their babies) Kingston and Moses. I have to say, that we don’t normally photograph dogs, since we want the focus to be on the couple’s love. However, these are not Yorkies stuffed into sweaters, posing on your lap, kind of dogs. No, these are Vizslas, bad~ass Vizslas, and I LOVED them!
Their babies rock, and so does this lifestyle shoot of their love for each other.
This is for you Amy & Barry!
