This was my entry for the 2012 Mari Challenge. This is my first attempt at texture/lookdev of a human character. All crits welcome.
The only guideline was that The Foundry's Mari be used for the texturing. The model was provided by Jakob Kousholt for the competition: challenge.cgsociety.org/mari.
Technical Details: Displace, diffuse, spec, and gloss maps were all done in Mari. Fifty! 4k UV patches. About 1.8GB of mip-mapped textures all together.
Planned improvements: Completely revamp skin - both texture and shader. Adding full head of hair, eyebrows, eyelashes, and light arm/leg hair. Adding hair and long hanging stitches to lips/eyelids of shrunken heads.
