First I should explain how this song came into being - My friend Rahmin began recording without me knowing, down on the side of a high cliff overlooking Austin's hill country and Colorado River. It was during sunset, when I heard a guitar player strumming his strings high above, and I began humm a tune. The air smelt of rain, as droopy heavy clouds soared by. Yet, the emotional tipping point couldn't breach the levies, allowing for the sky to cry upon us that day, that sunset. The rain burdened clouds just rolled on by, revealing at times a glance or ray of light from the silent giant glow that was beginning to fall quicker and quicker below the horizon. The footage here in this video is accumulated over a year, from random instances of illumination - where beauty was close by to the touch, the sound, the sight, the tongue, the smell, and the resonance of soul. In one scene, a dear friend of mine looses his ukelele, only for a few seconds, to a rapid current, only to find it again glistening and glowing full of light...as if he had just found his instrument blessed beneath the rain.
