This spec commercial was inspired by one of the most iconic images in the world: the Spencerian script, wave, and red & white color scheme of the Coca-Cola logo. When people see it, no matter their age, ethnicity, or nationality, they recognize it and are immediately reminded of the cold crisp taste of Coke. Over the decades, Coca-Cola has seen many evolutions and variations in its graphical identity, which at times (we feel) has obscured the experience of the brand. In our spot, we celebrate Coca-Cola's choice in recent years to forgo the superfluous and repackage all of its products with nothing more than their simple, classic logo.
To accompany the image is a vintage Coca-Cola jingle from the popular "Things Go Better With Coke" campaign of the 1950's and 60's, performed by J.B. & the Playboys.
