On Wednesday January 30, 2013 at Ottawa's Château Laurier Hotel, Canada 2020 hosted a panel on the competition dimension of innovation and productivity performance. This often overlooked topic of federal policy dealt with R&D credits, innovation policy and funding, corporate tax cuts and the like. This panel squarely addressed the issue of competition, focusing on who gains and who stands to lose from changes to the status quo, and how policy in this difficult area is best implemented.
