Multimeter Ω Ohm resistance test of AC 100-120V 60Hz, 22VA, ED 100%, Class N, TF 150℃, TA 110℃, P 65 psi, CEME 6610EN2 0S. R08 series, 2-Way Solenoid, for Nuova Simonelli Oscar 1. The 2-Way Solenoid in an Oscar 1 model is a "Normally Closed" Solenoid. A Current is applied to the Coil (embedded in the Black Housing), energizing the coils and overpowering the spring that pushes the piston (contained in an armature post that inserts throught the hole in the Solenoid Coil housing in the video). Resistance testing should result in a non-zero (under 1) value when the Multimeter is set to Ohms and the two non-ground terminals are tested for continuity. A value close to zero on this multimeter test will usually indicate a fault in the coil.
