This is the story of Kenna Parker, a ninth grade student at Navarre High School, in Navarre, Fl. Kenna has fought the battle against photosensitive epilepsy her entire life. Through some adaptations, such as special darkened eyeglasses and monitored medications, she has gone over a year without a gran mal seizure. With the continued outreach from her mother Tami, as well as an understanding and cooperative community, Kenna is largely living free from the stigma that can follow one throughout a life with epilepsy. She dances, she tells jokes, she has friends....she's just Kenna.
