A piece I created for my RCA elective rhytmanalysis. Yoga is full of rhythms so this project started off as an exploration of movement and rhythm. I wanted to capture the shakiness and jerkiness of being upside down so a lot of these poses were inversions such as headstands and forearm stands.
Two days after filming this video I started suffering from BPPV vertigo due to yoga inversions and as a result was really scared of practising. Vertigo is terrifying so I created this video about it.
A big thank you to yoga goddess Anna Karides, sound expert Bari Hadjikyriakou and super camera assistant Theodoulos Polyviou.
