In remembrance of the life and work of the legendary storyteller Diane Wolkstein, we are proud to present this thirty-seven minute movie made to celebrate the 40th anniversary of her legacy as teller, author, teacher, and mythologist. Diane will forever be remembered not only for the summer story series at the Statue of Hans Christian Andersen in New York's Central Park, but also for introducing audiences to such finds as the folklore of Haiti and the Sumerian epic of the Goddess Inanna. I was among the many people whose videography was used to create this celebration of one woman who will forever be considered one of New York's greatest cultural treasures and whose work will live on even though she is no longer with us today.
In memory of Diane Wolkstein (1942-2013).
