SHOW ME YOUR LIFE / SMASH STREET BOYS
a free online art program for sexually exploited homeless boys; peer mentored by Smash Street safe house.
Smash Street Safe House & Art Program for Adolescent Males at-risk. At-risk means they're confronting serious, life-threatening, deeply personal, intimate issues with human sex trafficking, suicide, addiction, sexual abuse, disability from physical abuse, homelessness, school failure, cutting, running away, life on the street, coming out, severe bullying, survival sex, jail, sex work, and HIV/AIDS. They do not necessarily speak English.
Smash Street Boys are emerging artists and poets whose lives have been smashed on the streets by sexual abuse and sexual exploitation and the devastating consequences of being infected with HIV/AIDS-defining infections and diseases. The artists and poets choose to live away from violence and neglect.
Courage is contagious. When young men take a stand, often the spines of others are stiffened.
