During January 4-13, 2013, eight students from Dordt College went to Brazil on an AMOR (A Mission OutReach) mission trip. The first few days were spent in Carambeí, Paraná (southern Brazil) where the group attended a reformed church service with their hosts of Dutch decent, went to a heritage museum (celebrating over 100 years of Dutch immigration to that region), and toured several farms (corn, soybeans, and a dairy). Then the group went to Lagoa da Confusão, Tocantins (in northern Brazil) for the remainder of the trip. There they shared the Gospel with the children of the village using Mission Balls (soccer balls printed with Bible verses in Portuguese), and toured an elementary school, hospital, and a large-scale crop farm.
