A truly funky, futuristic retro animation series: a boy and his canine sidekick play makebelieve, imagining themselves as hard-ass tv cops from the seventies. Ahead to the past, Starsky and Hutch meets Austin Powers meets Tarantino meets Scooby Doo. The simple concept brings about familiar scenes in refreshingly original settings. The creators of the series used to be Attila's students at Moholy Nagy University, luckily taking his class on creative sound far too seriously. They asked their former tutor for a title theme and score that reverberates the cop series genre with a futuristic twist. Catch 2072, if you will.
"The musical foundation had to be retro funk. Think Streets of San Francisco and Jackie Brown. Think cue ball hair, bell bottoms and loud shirts. But even that tight-paced, chuck-chuck-powapaw, guitar-ridden, fully brass-blown action is not fast enough for these wannabe tough cops well ahead of us on the timeline, so I had to bring in a hyper-modern, uber-percussive symphonic chase scene orchestration, with lots of percussion. Did I mention percussion? Like a mixed genre should be, it's layered and hyphenated. No mercy!"
