Professor Hisashi Yoshikawa is Project Professor of the Graduate School of Public Policy, the University of Tokyo, and is a leading expert in policy planning and implementation particularly in the field of energy. In his presentation on January 16, 2013, Yoshikawa spoke about how the United States and Japan can lead in the creation of a new governance mechanism in energy security in Asia, and Japan’s perspective on lessons learned from the recent tsunami and the Fukushima nuclear plant accident.
