For my senior illustration project, I wanted to do something on an epic scale. Story telling is something that has always fascinated me, and I challenged myself to take one of my favorite novels, Ken Kesey's "One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest," and re-tell its story, but in visual form rather than through words.
Two accordion Moleskine journals and several dozen sharpened pencils later, I had accomplished my goal of drawing out the entire novel in one fluid illustration, where the scenes simply fade into one another, telling the same story Kesey told, only drawn instead of written.
