There's no stopping a summer in New York City. We Out Here is a micro-documentary that chronicles the limitless will of a group of city kids who haven't been dealt the strongest hands, but are striving to overcome generational obstacles and bias in a popular sport. From evading gang life in Brownsville, to seeking refuge in a community of misfit-punks and skaters to avoid life on the streets, this is a story of celebration and survival. In a city where you have to find ways to land on your feet. Skateboarding provides these kids with a window of opportunity.
On November 27th 2012 WE OUT HERE was screened for a VIP audience witch included media, skateboarders, and influencers moderated by MTV's Sway Calloway at the Hole gallery in SOHO.
The Film was screened for a second time on October 9th at Brooklyn's Nitehawk Cinema, and featured on The Fader Magazine's homepage.
