Transporting readings of Carlos Casteneda to the urban, this story is based on an idea of inanimate re-incarnation as depicted through a recurring dream. A young couple sits in domestic silence, confused with one another while a parallel story of a man and his camera unfolds to a tragic ending. “Death taps you on the left shoulder” said Casteneda’s Don Juan is the statement. And the question is, “What comes first? The camera or the man?” One could also ask whether we are both observer and recorder, together animate and inanimate, and always have been.
