UN DIVERTISSEMENT D'AMOUR
Concept + realisation: Michaela Schwentner
2012 / HD / 11 min.
The content of this film is a kind of rearrangement of Plato's Symposion based on philosophic essays on love.
It is also inspired by the Surrealists' Recherches sur la sexualité.
In the sense of Roland Barthes' figures 4 persons are sitting at a table articulating thoughts
on love. Whereas the setting is rather static, the camera takes the choreographic function.
Referring to Sergej M. Eisenstein and his definition of mise en cadre the film's dramaturgy
is a play of incongruities of the image (the seen) and the sound (the heard).
