Tracking is a family-friendly dance piece. It is a relentless race through the city, observing our British eccentricity, sense of invention and support for the beloved underdog.
Taking place in any concrete street space, the dancers create their own world full of objects from the melting pot of London - antique Persian rugs, red public telephone box, mobile phones, and city umbrellas all representing Britain with a history of fusing diversity and industries of old and new.
The show is a colourful collage of contemporary British life and its taste for quirky Vintage+Modern. We intricately fuse modern images such as a poster of a Bond film: “For Your Eyes Only” with essences of wartime spirit in costume, set design and dance movement.
Targeting passersby as audience, our intriguing British fusion will climax with our characters turning into to super sleuths, creating a staged Cluedo dance as they look for clues, act like spies hiding under umbrellas within the vintage set playing with images from 70’s spy dramas... And after the climatic explosion, the dancers disperse into the audience, blending in with the crowd to become undetectable to the enemy.
