GO GREEN! A true rally cry to all of us to take a look at how we're living each day and how our actions affect our environment and planet. These "GO GREEN" actions, in turn affect us - our families and friends, our community, and especially our own health.
There's a unique company operating in the Short North, Arena District, Downtown and OSU area that definitely embraces the concept of GO GREEN - it's pretty new to Columbus - but conceptually not new to some big city scenes. ECT Pedicab has a small fleet of 5 "BicyTaxi's" (that's the hip term for bicycle taxi - happy now?) that are essentailly a cycle rickshaw. This eco-friendly mode of transportation we now have in our midst offers low-cost trips between various destinations. Owner Mike Sorboro took a few minutes out of his busy Gallery Hop night to speak with CowTV. In this short piece, Mike describes his business and provides an overview of just what the hell ECT Pedicab is all about (for that matter, he even answers some of the really dumb questions we can come up with!) Oh... and then there's Dave...
So, here's the deal... it's O.K. if you're not a fan of Al "SAVE THE PLANET" Gore - just don't pass on the message he and many others are trying to convey. In the meanwhile, you might realize how cool it is having "green transportation" with this eco-friendly business available to you. CowTV forsees an up-coming Short North pub-crawl that will definitely utilize the services of ECT Pedicab - WHO'S GAME?
Oh... and take note Columbus... it's creative, entrepreneurial businesses like this that are now shaping our city for the years to come. Get on board with all of it - but mostly for now - just take a ride with ETC Pedicab!
Suggestion: take Pedicab to the new Late-Night Slice in the Short North - it's a side venture Mike Sorboro has got going - huge, "by-the-slice" pizza - just what one might need after a few adult beverages ;) Stay tuned to CowTV for an upcoming bio-piece on this new hot-spot!
