*Apparently youtube was blocking international views because of the song in the background so I've uploaded to vimeo.
Half-Life VR adds full head tracking and weapon tracking to Half-Life 2 in preparation for the Oculus Rift dev kit launch. In this video I'm using two hillcrest trackers, the same ones John Carmack used in his E3 and quakecon demos of the early rift prototype. This is full 360 degree, 1 to 1 tracking on both the head and weapon, there are no gimmicks or constraints between where you aim and your field of view.
After my original video the most common requests I received were that people wanted to see more of the actual gun tracking (I think I did a better job syncing the two videos this time), see examples of the gravity gun and a lot of people wanted to see ravenholm, so that's what this video highlights. There were also a lot of people interested in the compatibility of FakeFactory's Cinematic Mod, so I went ahead and shot this video using the combination of both mods, at this point I haven't seen any compatibility issues.
