This is a time lapse video of the assembly and installation of a 5kw ground mount solar electric array. Our client lives in a historic farm house that includes a large barn, workshop and tenants apartment. The array is located in the back of the property where its location affords ample, unshaded sunlight throughout the day.
The array is sized to offset nearly all of the electricity used by the house and rental apartment. The homeowners intend to a high efficiency heat pump system to his houses heating system. This will allow our client to not only offset their electrical usage but to offset some of their annual oil consumption as well.
This photovoltaic array features 21 SolarWorld 245 watt PV modules, Enphase micro-inverters with web based system monitoring and a Schletter ground mount rack.
