Utilizing (at a 25% visibility) overlay with the sink running for the intro and exit helps set the theme/tone for the short video experience. I split the sink video, and trimmed each piece into the beginning and end. The first 3 addtional frames after the intro are crossfades/fades, then the frames become a bit shorter in the middle and only direct cuts-splices, then 3 more frames using crossfades/fades towards the end. I have a particularly selected jazz-techno music that has a beat similar to water running and dropping quickly. These play well with foot steps, "drops" of cars on bridges, the escalator, and then back to the nightfall and closing with the faucet water again. while I fade in and then out the music, I leave the final fade actually at the crescendo level - because, frankly, the next day is going to occur again...and again.
