Those fine folks need commercials too, and when it was time to launch a spot that defanged the public perception of nuclear energy's role in our world's need and consumption of power, the Smith and Harroff agency asked me to craft a narrative that was both informative and relatable. Friendly and happy, even. Employing the visual artifacts of traditional painting, printmaking and the spirit of Mary Blair, this spot depicts a world in which nuclear power is our pal. A pal we're going to need for a long, long time.
