God has a purpose for each and every one of us, and that is to make us like Jesus. The Apostle Paul reassures us that the things we experience in life will ultimately lead to the fulfillment of God's purpose for us.
Life teaches us that the world contains a strange mixture of good and bad, pleasure and pain, heartache and joy, peace and problems. Have you ever wondered what pleasure would feel like if you had never felt pain? Would we know joy if we had never felt sorrow? Would we know the thrill of victory, if we had never suffered the agony of defeat? Would laughter be sweet if we never shed a tear?
Part of the glory of being a Christian is knowing that whether our heart is heavy from grief and sorrow, or high from rejoicing, whether our life's present circumstance seems bleak or bright - understand this; there is no incident in your life, great or small that is without purpose or without meaning, because we know that God works in all things!
